Utilising the different abilities of textiles — colours, transparency and volume — the Danish weaver Anna Bruun creates movement and sensuousness with her woven installations and artworks.

She has a background as a textile designer but has since pursued the old craftsmanship of weaving. And today she works with a large wooden handloom that she uses to create handwoven pieces that combine tradition and future potential.

“I believe textiles can add transformation to a space and give architecture a sense of flexibility.” Buun works with the spatial potential of woven textiles to give softness to our traditional concept of room and space.
