The urge to create has always dwelled inside Danish artist Natasja Lykke. It has been a long process of trial and error, research, and experimenting, before stepping onto the artistic career path. She has explored her aesthetics and worked towards establishing her creative language: “And I finally feel like I have found it.

Spaces inspire the artwork by Natasja Lykke in Copenhagen, especially in and around the neighbourhood of Østerbro, where she currently lives. “I was drawn to the elegant high-toned buildings in my new neighborhood. The palette of colours, the textures, the winding streets.”

While developing her technique, Lykke set herself a set of dogmas to follow, which helped her conceptualize her work. Lykke’s artistic practice becomes an exercise in steadily adding new dimensions to her limits.
