Ida Vikfors

Ida Vikfors is a Finnish artist, now living in Sweden with a background as a pattern designer and artisan in textiles and sewing. Ida’s works have a minimalist expression with a focus on creating different dimensions, allowing the viewer to explore shapes and shadows that change over time, depending on the light or a person’s mood.

“I want my work to appear tactile and almost a bit fragile, though it is a rough and long-lasting surface. The meeting between what the material is and how it is being perceived is the thing that I love and which I want the viewer to experience”.
